PRESS BUSINESS is a magazine which will cover, portray and analyse developments in the international press market. PRESS BUSINESS will report on the newspaper and magazine markets. Particular attention will be paid to the distribution market.

Here at PRESS BUSINESS we realise how the revenue generated by advertising and sales are closely intertwined. That is why developments in the advertising markets will also reported on in PRESS BUSINESS. Further topics within the scope of PRESS BUSINESS are the press logistics market and the service and technology companies operating on the press market.

Cooperation with FAEP

PRESS BUSINESS also publishes the FAEP-BULLETIN, the newsletter of the Brussels-based European Federation of Magazine Publishers (FAEP). Both, PRESS BUSINESS and FAEP, share a common goal: to stress the imporance of a free and diverse press for democratic societies. Therefore, FAEP’s annual magazine is published in a close cooperation with PRESS BUSINESS.

FAEP represents the interests of periodical press publishers in Europe. The organisation’s mission is to ensure the long-term survival and prosperity of a plural, diverse and economically successful magazine publishing industry in the EU.


Who we are – the publisher, editors, authors

PRESS BUSINESS is a magazine published in Germany. We, the makers of the magazine are German, however we promise that we will not be wearing “German blinkers” a viewpoint shared by our authors, who in the medium and long term will be drawn from around the world.

Publisher Peter Strahlendorf is well-known in Germany as a publisher of media-service and press trade journals. To his portfolio belong the information service NEW BUSINESS and magazines such as MARKENARTIKEL, PUBLIC MARKETING,  DNV – DER NEUE VERTRIEB and PRESSEREPORT, as well as the standard reference works NEUMANN – HANDBUCH FÜR PRESSE-VERTRIEB UND -VERKAUF, PRESSE PORTRÄTS and the annuals JAHRBUCH SPONSORING and HEALTHCARE MARKETING.

Editor-in-chief Ralf Deppe is currently in charge of the magazines DNV – DER NEUE VERTRIEB, PRESSE REPORT and DISTRIPRESS GAZETTE and can be said to really know his way around in the international press business.

Who will PRESS BUSINESS reach?

PRESS BUSINESS is aimed at decision-makers in publishing houses and the press business, first and foremost in Europe and North America as well as selected targets in the Far East. PRESS BUSINESS will be published completely in English – the lingua franca of international business.
