Best-selling American newspaper USA TODAY is now available on Amazon's portable e-reader Kindle. Monthly subscription costs 12 US-Dollar (8.90 Euro) and is cheaper that the conventional newspaper subscription rate of 16 US-Dollar (11.90 Euro). The device launched in the U.S. in 2007 an has attracted several newspapers for electronic publication, among them the NEW YORK TIMES.

The Kindle is not yet available in Europe. But the wireless e-reader provides several international newspaper subscriptions in the U.S., such as Chinese SHANGHAI DAILY, French LE MONDE and LES ECHOS, THE IRISH TIMES or German FRANKFURTER ALLGEMEINE ZEITUNG.
